Apple has created Disk utility in Mac OS X which provides an advantage to Mac users to resize the partitions, without losing any data or file. if you are resizing Mac hard drives, Disk Utility offers you an easy way. But users keep reporting that while doing so, they get some strange error messages which state that there is no enough space on the drive, which is not so in actual:“No space left on device”Though there is lot of empty space on the drive, Disk utility doesn’t take it so.

This might be due to the reason that Tiger doesn’t take Disk Utility, other than of itself, for good. So errors may arise while operation. However, one of the easy ways has been discovered to solve the present issue. If you face such error messages, try deleting the large files from system. But, always remember to copy all those files on some other storage media.

A wrong decision may cost later in terms of Mac data recovery need if you delete any important file. Find those files which are large, especially 1 GB+ files, delete them and see if you can now resize the partition. But always check the content it possesses, deleting the important will ask for Mac recovery.

It is advised to backup your data always or use data recovery Mac utilities to extract them from affected hard drive.Mac data recovery software are the tools which scan, locate and recover the lost information. They have the ability to run in each specific cause of data loss. Also, the interactive interface makes the process simple.
